Day 01 :
📍 Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Boumalne Dades
- Morning departure from Marrakech, heading toward the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass.
- Stop for a visit at a certified argan oil cooperative for an authentic insight into traditional production methods.
- Visit the stunning Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site) — a 2-hour guided exploration of this iconic site in the Ouarzazate province, showcasing the charm of southern Moroccan architecture.
- 🍽️ Optional lunch in Aït Ben Haddou.
- Continue on to Boumalne Dades, where you’ll settle into your hotel for the night.
Day 02 :
📍 Boumalne Dades → Tinghir → Merzouga
- Depart from your hotel at 9:00 a.m.
- Explore the Dades Gorges, famous for their striking rock formations known as "monkey fingers" and picturesque agricultural valleys.
- Continue to the Tinghir Gorges (about 45 km away), where lush palm groves stretch along dramatic cliffs.
- 🍽️ Optional lunch in Tinjdad or Erfoud.
- Arrive in Merzouga, in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp with deluxe tents in a serene setting.
- Enjoy a magical evening under the stars with live traditional music, in a “Thousand and One Nights” atmosphere.
- 🐫 Optional camel ride or 4×4 transfer to the camp.
Day 03 :
📍 Merzouga → Rissani
- Wake up early to admire a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes.
- After breakfast, ride back by camel or 4×4, as you prefer.
- Head to Rissani for a visit to its vibrant traditional souk, known for spices, dates, and hand-woven crafts.
- 🍽️ Optional lunch: Try Medfouna, a famous local dish also called Berber pizza.
- Return to your hotel and relax in the evening.
Day 04 :
📍 Rissani → Agdez → Ouarzazate
- Depart toward Ouarzazate via the scenic town of Agdez, driving through a dramatic desert landscape.
- We recommend spreading the return to Marrakech over two days due to the winding nature of the mountain roads.
- Overnight stay in or near Ouarzazate.
Day 05 :
📍 Ouarzazate → Marrakech
- Final leg of your journey, returning to Marrakech in the afternoon.
- Drop-off at your riad or hotel.
